Sleights of Mind
I just finished reading this book. Even as a professional magician I was thoroughly enthrawled with the information it contained. The links to how we are scammed in every day life from psychics, vaccine deniers and ourselves is contained in this book. I highly reccomend it.

While it is unconclusive, I found this line in the article ("But friends said she had stopped taking the drug because of its side effects and had switched to herbal remedies.") and is why I am posting it. In any case, this article does relay the importance of not abandoning certain medicines.
